BIO
Shawn Adams is an architect, writer, and lecturer who has taught at Central St Martins, UAL, and the Architectural Association. Shawn also works as the Outreach Lead at Housing Specialist company HTA Design LLP and is the co-founder of the socially-minded design practice POoR Collective. In 2023, POoR won the London Design Festival’s Emerging Design Medal.

Shawn has written for the Financial Times, Wallpaper*, Hypebeast, FRAME, VICE, The World of Interiors, The Architects' Journal, RIBAJ, ICON, OnOffice, Mix Interiors, STIRworld, and Disegno. He currently sits on the Advisory Board of Open City’s Accelerate Programme and is a RIBAJ Rising Star.

Shawn has expertise in architecture, community engagement, and delivering social value. He also has extensive experience working with young people, having delivered workshops at numerous primary and secondary schools across the UK.
